![]() ![]() This game is clearly in many ways inspired by Portal, and I think it is a worthy successor to that masterpiece. The story, while light, was satisfying and had a strong message at the end, which tied in nicely with the game as a whole. ![]() The music and atmosphere were also fantastic, with some of the levels being truly mind-blowing in the ways they are constructed, and the music providing just the right mood. From time to time, in the recently released game Superliminal (portal-esque game based on perspective) you can find red switches that can be interacted with like this one: They can be only flipped once, so once flipped you cannot interact with them anymore. I would love to do more puzzles in this format, but was content with the amount on offer here. It manages to switch things up often enough to keep you from becoming too familiar with any one puzzle type, while giving you enough content to be satisfying. This is a short game, and I think that serves it in a sense. These puzzles are well-designed and frequently filled me with joy upon solving them just due to the sheer creativity involved in these solutions. It offers challenging and creative puzzles that could not be recreated in a movie or a book. ![]() Region free and can be played on any Nintendo Switch. Includes an exclusvie sticker and 3 trading cards. 8/10Ĥh 15m PlayedSuperliminal is a fantastic use of the videogame medium. Limited Edition: Only 3000 copies available Fully assembled Nintendo Switch game with cartridge, interior art, and full-color manual. Its a game that a review will not be able to do it justice, you have to experience the game for yourself to see how well put together it all is. But this is genuinely my only con about the game. I can imagine making a game like this must require such mental strain to keep the puzzles fresh and new in every area but a longer game would have been better for my personal experience with it. My first playthrough was a little over 2 hours and would have prefered something closer to the 5 hour mark. I admit the game was little too short for my liking. Admittedly the puzzles are wildly different but carry the same satisfaction levels. For the record Portal 2 is one of my favorite games of all time and this is the closest I've felt to that initial playthrough that I've experienced a long long time. It was like the midground between The Stanley Parable and Portal. YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES! This game is amazing, it so smart and makes me feel so inadequate as a human as I will never be able to hack into the mind of these creators. ![]()
